All-day Library Access

In the 2022-23 school year, the College Council passed a resolution calling on the UChicago Library to expand operational hours to pre-pandemic standards, and further expand to 24/7 access to students. The Regeinstein library acts a place of social gathering and academic study for students from all majors and walks of life, it has been a consistent and loud ask from the student body.

Project Updates

  • In response to calls from USG and the overall student body to expand library hours to 24/7 access, the UChicago Library piloted extended hours in the Spring 2023 quarter. USG will be following up this year to ask UChicago Library to permanently implement this pilot program.
