Blanket department policy remains unchanged - students generally may not P/F a class for the major. However, students may petition the department for P/F.
Policy Statement
We are willing to consider petitions for exceptions to [the quality grade] policy on a case by case basis. Should you want to petition for a P grade to count toward the major, please contact [Benjamin Morgan] or Katie Kahal.

College Council received a letter of support from John Wilkinson (Chair). Because Creative Writing is a program, all grading policies are decided by the English Department. Professor Wilkinson forwarded the request for P/F grading on to Deborah Nelson (Department Chair).

Standard Policy
Courses cannot be taken P/F.
